THEATRE SPORTS 2010

This year we had a large number of recruits, well, significantly more than last year anyway. With such a large group this provided a wealth of knowledge to be shared by all who attended. We were also pleased to have some of the Court Theatre's improvisers come along and help us out. We had lots of fun this year and can't wait to see what next year brings. By this point we have had such an awesome improvisational year that it cannot all fit into this article. So what we have done, in order to give you a sample of how awesome theatre sports is we wrote the following article backwards. SENIOR THEATRESPORTS TEAM

When we last left our heroes they were licking their wounds after having come third in the senior theatre sports competition. They knew then what they had to do. They resumed their common lives under the aliases of their mundane schoolboy identities with one goal in mind ... to win the senior theatre sports competition.

The heroes retreated into the depths of their 'Batcave', the drama room, where the intense training regime commenced. After working out for half a year to the tune of 'The Eye of the Tiger', they were now ready to try again once more. It was now time for the heats and for our heroes to put their practice to work. BAM! POW! They had fought their way through the heats. SMASH! KABLAMMY!

The semi finals were now left in a crumpled heap. The finals would be the true test where our heroes would have to use their powers to win for sure. They had more improved gadgets than Batman had bat-gadgets on his bat-belt. They had wit so quick it could outrun the Flash. They had a pirouette that would make Anna Pavlova look like a pile of sugar and egg whites. Our heroes had succeeded in winning the Trophy for the first time in their history but they couldn't have done it without the leadership of Wonder Woman Gaffaney whose superior technical teachings left the other teams up a creek without a poodle.
